What VIEVAA Stands For

VIEVAA Academy stands for high-quality veterinary training in small animal anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, pain therapy, and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Our courses combine scientific foundations with immediately applicable clinical knowledge for veterinarians, veterinary nurses, technicians, and veterinary support staff who wish to improve patient safety, recognise complications earlier, and integrate modern techniques safely into everyday clinical practice.

About the Founder

Dr. Robert Trujanovic

GPCert(cardio), Dipl. ECVAA

Dr. Robert Trujanovic is a small animal anaesthetist, Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and specializing in anesthesia for critically ill patients, ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, and interventional pain management in dogs and cats.

His clinical work combines modern anaesthesia, pre-anaesthetic risk assessment, precise pain diagnostics, and image-guided techniques with one clear goal: to improve patient safety, enable effective analgesia, and support more structured clinical decision-making in everyday perioperative practice.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Trujanovic’s clinical focus lies in pre-anaesthetic cardiovascular assessment and stabilisation, perioperative crisis management, ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia, and interventional pain therapy.

His areas of work include the pre-anaesthetic assessment of cardiac patients, the development of individual anaesthetic plans for high-risk patients, the perioperative use of point-of-care ultrasound, the management of chronic pain patients, and image-guided injection techniques for orthopaedic and neurological conditions.

Teaching, Research, and International Activity

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Trujanovic is active as a lecturer at international congresses, courses, and professional training events. He is committed to veterinary education, with a particular focus on anaesthesia, perioperative safety, regional anaesthesia, and pain therapy.

He is also scientifically active, the author of several publications and author of the Locoregional Anaesthesia in Small Animals Manual. In addition, he is a co-developer of the VetRA App, a digital application designed to support regional anaesthetic techniques in dogs and cats.
